Draft for owner review
Privacy notice.
How this website handles your data. This notice describes the current preview and remains a draft until the owner confirms the outstanding details below.
Who is responsible
Halvern, a digital studio in the Netherlands, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 42154000. Questions about this notice go to halvern.studios@outlook.com.
Visiting the site
The site is served as static pages. To deliver a page, the web server processes your IP address and the address of the page you requested. The preview server writes a line with the path and the response code to its console and keeps no log files.
No cookies are set and nothing is written to your browser’s storage by this site. No analytics, advertising or other third-party scripts are loaded. Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so no font or image provider sees your visit. The only third party is Cal.com, in the situations described under “Booking a conversation” below.
Contacting Halvern
The contact page uses your own email app. The form on it only composes a message inside your email app; nothing is submitted to or stored by this website.
Email you send is handled in Halvern’s mailbox for the purpose of answering you and, if a project follows, for that project.
Booking a conversation
“Book a conversation” opens Halvern’s calendar from Cal.com inside a window on this site (a frame from app.cal.com). The calendar loads when you show booking intent: when you hover over, focus, touch or click a booking button. On the contact page it is also prepared in the background shortly after the page has loaded, so that it is ready when you click, unless your browser signals a data-saving preference or a slow connection.
Loading the calendar means your browser downloads Cal.com’s booking application and connects to Cal.com’s servers and to the error-reporting service Cal.com uses. Cal.com receives connection information at that moment, and later the details you enter to book, under Cal.com’s privacy notice. Cal.com may use its own storage inside its frame. It handles your booking and invitation. When you book through Daan, this page receives the appointment time and status from Cal.com to display a confirmation. That receipt stays in your browser tab and is not sent to the AI provider.
Talking to Daan
When you send a message to Daan, your question and recent chat replies are sent through this website’s server to Google Gemini. Gemini selects relevant answers from Halvern’s approved information; its processing terms apply to the request. If you ask to book, the server also checks public availability with Cal.com. Enter your name, email and project notes in Cal.com’s booking form, not in the chat.
The chat server does not save conversations or audio in its database. Chat history stays in the page until you leave or reload it. To limit abuse and control usage, the service keeps request and budget counters, including keyed identifiers derived from IP addresses, in Supabase. These counters do not contain chat messages.
Please do not share personal details you would not want processed this way; Daan only needs your question.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask what personal data Halvern holds about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Email halvern.studios@outlook.com. You can also complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
