Who is responsible

Halvern, registered with the Kamer van Koophandel under number 42154000, is the controller for personal data described in this notice. Questions about this notice go to halvern.studios@outlook.com.

What we collect

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts. Fonts and video are served from our own hosting. The only personal data we process is what you send us yourself when you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp: your name, your contact details, and whatever you write about your company and your project.

Like every website, the server that hosts this site records technical access logs, such as IP address, requested page, time and browser type, for security and to keep the site running. These logs are not combined with your contact details.

Why, and on what legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal: the steps needed before entering into a contract with you (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
• To deliver and administer a project you commission: performance of that contract (article 6(1)(b)).
• To keep invoices and agreements: our legal obligation under Dutch tax and bookkeeping law (article 6(1)(c)).
• To keep the website secure and available through access logs: our legitimate interest in running the site (article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling or automated decisions, and we do not sell it.

Who processes it

Only the people at Halvern working on your request see your correspondence. Three providers handle data on our behalf as part of delivering the service you use to reach us: Microsoft (Outlook, for email), Meta (WhatsApp, for messages sent through WhatsApp) and the company that hosts this website (access logs). WhatsApp messages are subject to Meta's own terms and end-to-end encryption; if you prefer not to use WhatsApp, email works just as well. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a project: for as long as needed to answer you and follow up, after which they are deleted.
• Project correspondence and files: for the duration of the project and a reasonable period afterwards for support and warranty.
• Invoices, proposals and agreements: seven years, the statutory retention period for Dutch bookkeeping.
• Server access logs: a short rolling period set by the hosting provider, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive a copy in a portable format. Email halvern.studios@outlook.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Client work

Projects shown on this site are published only with the client's written permission. Until such permission exists, the work section shows our own concepts and prototypes, labeled as such, with no client names, results or statistics.

Liability and terms

Written proposals and agreements govern each engagement. Where none exists, Dutch law applies and disputes are brought before the competent court in the Netherlands. Halvern has been established in 2026 and is registered with the Kamer van Koophandel under number 42154000. A VAT (BTW) number will be published here once issued.
